Hart Hanson, creator/writer of BONES and the new show The Finder, writer for Judging Amy, Joan of Arcadia, Traders and Stargate SG-1 to name a few, recently received his Outstanding Television Writer’s Award in Austin, TX during the Film Festival on October 22nd 2011. The Voice Of TV was present to witness it from beginning to end, able to record it for your enjoyment.
BONES‘s lead actor David Boreanaz had joined the creator of the show in Texas to deliver him his award during an exclusive Luncheon. He added a very nice and touching speech during this ceremony that warmed everyone’s heart.
As a surprise, Emily Deschanel – who couldn’t make it due to her recent motherhood – had sent along a lovely and funny video message for her show’s creator in which she shared adorable anecdotes as well as mock both Mr Hanson and her co-star David. Who knew what a normal guy Hart really is (despite his haircut) and how he thought she only looked ‘not pregnant’ “from the nose up?”

My excuses for the video quality and sound. The Award Luncheon took place in a decent sized venue where all the occupants were having, well, lunch. The position for the video wasn’t the best but better than nothing, right?
