| Oh, c'est énorme, j'adore le principe! Donc les acteurs seront là pour regarder l'intégralité de la série? J'espère qu'on aura quelques commentaires croustillants ^^ | |

| Vampmogs, sur BuffyForums, a posté un résumé de ce que James avait dit en gros dans une forme de "reportage" (j'ai pas bien compris, vu que c'est censé se dérouler en Juin, mais bref), merci à lui ♥ - Spoiler:

Today, 09:38 AM I didn't record any of it but I did watch it. I have to admit, some of it was really cringe worthy like when they had him say something silly like "You're soldiers of the True Buff army" or when they obviously asked him to try and act sinister/sexy and it came across as extremely awkward. I don’t really blame him for any of that though because the lines were just really corny and it was all awkwardly staged. However, they had brief little interviews with him in between episodes and those were much better.
They had a question asking him what he thought of his first scene in School hard (the one with Dru) and he said he’s embarrassed when he looks back on it. He said that he’d never worked on TV before so he didn’t realise that, unlike on stage where you have to raise you voice so the audience can here you, you didn’t need to yell and he also said it was awkwardly staged because he didn’t realise they could make it flow better in the cutting room. He also criticised his accent in that scene and said how Tony Head watched the dailies of it and told him that he would help him improve it because it didn’t sound right.
He was also asked if he’d ever watched an episode of BtVS before coming onto the show and he said “only one” because his producer made him tune in to see if he’d like to audition. He said that at first he thought the show basically sounded like a load of rubbish but halfway through watching an episode (he never said which one) he rang up his agent and told them to “get him on this show” because “it was some of the smartest writing [he’d] seen in a while.”
He was asked whether he had to train for the stunts and he said he’d trained a little before BtVS anyway and that on stunt day he’d never go back to his trailer in-between takes, because he’d be working with the stunt crew to improve the scenes.
He was also asked about Spike’s progression on the show and he said how it was never planned and that the writers would make him evolve depending on what role they needed him to play in the story. He said he was brought in to be Cordelia and “tell Buffy she was stupid and that she was going to get everyone killed” but he ended up playing many different roles including ‘the whacky neighbour’, ‘the villain’, ‘the lover’, ‘the bad boyfriend’ and ‘the hero.’
I don’t remember the exact question but he was also asked how he felt about Spike’s role in the show and how fans responded to him. He spoke about how vampires were meant to be metaphors and that he felt it became problematic when more people got “hot for him” (I think that was his phrasing but I’m not positive with this question as it was right at the beginning of the marathon) so he believed Joss sidelined him to avoid messing with the show.
Overall it was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have him actually introduce any of the episodes through or let him share his brief thoughts about them before they’d air. I guess that’d be asking a lot as there were 144 episodes to get through but I would have been interested to hear his thoughts on all of them, particularly in early seasons before he was even on the show or in seasons such as S3 where he wasn’t around much. Actors rarely get asked about scenes or episodes they had no involvement in so it would have been a great opportunity. However, the small little interviews with him were great even if the other stuff was a bit cheesy.
It was LOT of Buffy! It was odd because you'd fall asleep watching S1 and wake up late into S2, then suddenly you'd be halfway through S4 and when you turned the TV back on late S5 would be on It seemed to go so fast and it was weird seeing how different the show was depending on the season.
