Buzzy Multimedia is proud to announce the start of production on their newest unabridged audio book, “The Greyfriar.”This first book in the Vampire Empire trilogy was written by best-selling fantasy authors Clay & Susan Griffith. “The Greyfriar” is performed by veteran actor of stage and screen, James Marsters. Marsters, first known worldwide for his portrayal of Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Series is acclaimed for his audio work which ranges from being the voice of the Dresden Files novels by Jim Butcher to starring in L.A. Theatre Works production of The Importance of Being Ernest. Synopsis: The Greyfriar merges supernatural elements and vampires in a steampunk fantasy action adventure. In the year 1870, a horrible plague of vampires swept over the northern regions of the world. Millions of humans were killed outright. Millions more died of disease and famine due to the havoc that followed. Within two years, once great cities were shrouded by the grey empire of the vampire clans. Human refugees fled south to the tropics because vampires could not tolerate the constant heat there. They brought technology and a feverish drive to reestablish their shattered societies of steam and iron amid the mosques of Alexandria, the torrid quietude of Panama, or the green temples of Malaya. It is now 2020 and a bloody reckoning is coming. To receive the latest updates on “The Greyfriar Audio Book” follow Buzzy Multimedia on Facebook. Buzzy Multimedia’s “The Greyfriar” audio book is due out Spring, 2012.

| Je l'ai posté dans l'autre topic, mais ça a également sa place ici, on a la vidéo de James en train de le lire : - Citation :
- Buzzy Multimedia publishing posted a video with James Marsters and authors of The Vampire Empire trilogy Clay and Susan Griffith from the special event, which was held last year during DragonCon. Clay and Susan Griffith answers fans questions during the first part of the video, you can hear James reading a chapter from the book 1 during the second part of the video and the last part is a Q&A with James.
Just a reminder, The Vampire Empire is a book trilogy (well future trilogy as they have published only 2 books so far – The Greyfriar and The Rift Walker), which takes place in 19th century where vampires are noth a myth but they are real threat. James narrates the audio version of these book, the audio book one will be released in spring 2012. Source : http://www.jamesmarsters.eu/?lang=en
