Joss Whedon aimerait apparemment beaucoup que Summer Glau rejoigne la série Dollhouse ^^

She joins the show in episode 5 -- airing in October -- for two initial eps playing a character called Bennett, working inside the Dollhouse.

Joss Whedon continues to raid his past shows to pump up the second season of Dollhouse. Summer Glau, who was in Whedon’s cult hit Firefly, will have a recurring role in the Fox series this year. Glau also starred in one of Whedon’s favorite shows, the canceled-too-soon Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as a blank-faced cyborg.

Perfect for a Doll? Too perfect, Whedon told TV Guide Magazine. “I feel that she’s done that enough," Whedon said. She would be great at it, but she done it enough and we have something else in mind for her.”

Glau is playing a Dollhouse employee named Bennett, who, Fox says “shares a past with Echo (Eliza Dushku)." Whedon has been bulking up the cast for season two, snagging Buffy veteran Alexis Denisof as a Senator, and as TV Guide Magazine first reported, Angel star Amy Acker will return for at least three episodes. Tahmoh Penikett (Paul) will also be joined by fellow Battlestar Galactica alumni Jamie Bamber (in episode one as Echo’s “husband”) and Michael Hogan as someone trying to stop a family member’s killing spree in the second episode.

Un article qui précise un peu le rôle que tiendra Summer dans "Dollhouse" ^^

Joss Whedon has said he would not cast Glau as a Doll, due to her playing similar roles of that sort in the past – and indeed, he's gone the opposite route. Rather than playing a Doll, Glau is playing one of the people who makes the Dolls what they are. Yes, Glau's character, Bennett, is the equivalent of Topher - a Programmer. Bennett works in a Dollhouse that is new to the series, located in Washington, DC.

Apparemment, Summer va rester plus longtemps que prévu dans Dollhouse ^^

Summer is currently in episodes 5 and 6 (production order).

Alexis Denisof has filmed episodes 1, 3, 5 and 6 so far (production order), FOX tells Dollverse.

Minor update : episode 7 started filming today, Summer isn’t in it this one. But she’s back later in the season, never fear.
