La FOX a de grands espoirs de voir Bones revenir pour une 7ème saison ^^

Fans of "Bones" and "House" may not have gotten the early renewals that they've been hoping for at the Jan. 11 Television Critics Association press tour, but FOX Entertainment president Kevin Reilly and FOX Networks Entertainment chairman Peter Rice did offer the next best thing.

"I anticipate they're both going to be back," says Reilly. "We have some negotiations to go through."

Creatively, both executives are pleased with two of the networks' longest running series. In their respective sixth and seventh seasons, "Bones" and "House" still perform consistently in ratings -- and "Bones" recently got a vote of confidence with a post-"American Idol" time slot, starting Jan. 20.

"We're currently in the process of making a deal to bring back 'House' and 'Bones,'" Reilly continues. "We want them both."

We'll keep you guys updated on any news. Bones has always finished 2nd behind Two and a Half Men on their Thursday night timeslot but has fallen a bit but there is a possible yes.

Je ne suis pas un inconditionnel de Bones mais j'aime bien la regarder de temps en temps ^^
ça serait une bonne nouvelle en tout cas!

Ça serait super ! Mais je croyais qu'elle s'arrêtait définitivement à la saison 6 et que les producteurs avaient prévu le scenario seulement jusqu'à une saison 6 ! Bon tant mieux, j'espère qu'il ne vont pas bâcler la saison en cours du coup, ce qui me parait peu probable vu la qualité de chaque saisons !!

Pour le moment, ce n'est pas offciel, mais ça serait chouette pour les fans de la série si elle était amenée à se poursuivre !

Même si la FOX n'a pas encore renouvelé "Bones" pour une septième saison, Hart Hanson, son créateur, a l'air plutôt optimiste. Pour autant, cette future saison pourrait être raccourcie afin de s'adapter à la grossesse d'Emily Deschanel

Nul n'est indispensable... Sauf Emily Deschanel ! L'actrice, qui a annoncé sa grossesse au début du mois d'avril, vient de faire chavirer tout son monde. Ses proches, ses fans, les scénaristes de Bones sans parler des studios qui produisent la série. Car si cette dernière n'a pas encore été renouvelée pour la saison prochaine, tout le monde se demande déjà comment Bones, dont la dynamique repose énormément sur la force de son duo, fonctionnera si l'un de ses membres s'absente plus que d'habitude ? Une question bien légitime tout comme l'éternel débat : faudra-il intégrer la grossesse dans l'intrigue ?


Lors d'une conférence de presse, Hart Hanson, le créateur, a dû évidemment offrir quelques éléments de réponses. Tout d'abord, il s'est dit "très confiant" quant au renouvellement de Bones. Interrogé ensuite sur l'impact que pourrait avoir la grossesse d'Emily Deschanel sur cette éventuelle saison 7, il a avoué que "de très nombreuses décisions restaient à prendre" tout en envisageant même de produire exceptionnellement une saison réduite. Pour le moment, rien n'est donc gravé dans le marbre... Etant donné que l'actrice est censée accoucher à la fin de l'été voire au début de l'automne, la production de la saison pourrait alors être retardée et on irait donc vers une saison raccourcie de 16 à 19 épisodes. L'une des possibilités pourrait également être de tourner plusieurs épisodes sans Temperance, voire d'interrompre la production à un moment ou à un autre lorsque l'actrice s'absenterait en congé maternité.



La saison 6 de Bones s'achèvera le 19 mai prochain et la FOX pourrait attendre le dernier moment pour annoncer le renouvellement. De longues négociations qui retardent bel et bien la possibilité d'aborder le fameux sujet brûlant. Dans tous les cas de figure, une fois que le renouvellement sera bel et bien officiel, le network pèsera lourd dans les dernières décisions, tout comme le souligne Hanson : "Par exemple, si l'on devait faire quatre épisodes sans elle, est-ce que le network serait intéressé ? Ou est-ce que leurs tests [sur le public] montrent que cela ferait du mal à la série ? J'ai besoin de me préparer pour n'importe laquelle de ces éventualités."

David Boreanaz n'a pas pu résister à la joie d'annoncer lui-même la bonne nouvelle aux fans de Bones, via son compte Twitter: la série est bel et bien renouvelée pour une 7ème saison. Une nouvelle année avec Booth et Brennan, qui devrait être officiellement annoncée par la Fox très prochainement...

Cependant, le doute plane toujours sur la manière dont sera abordée la grossesse d'Emily Deschanel. Le nombre d'épisodes sera-t-il réduit ou Brennan sera-t-elle absente? Rien n'est encore fixé puisque l'actrice devrait accoucher à la fin de l'été ou au début de l'automne.

En attendant davantage de précisions, la saison 6 s'achève le 19 mai prochain sur la Fox. Sur un cliffhanger, comme il se doit...

Ca c'est la grande question... Une saison raccourcie serait la bonne solution à la limite, plutôt que de compromettre leur intrigue en donnant une grossesse à son personnage.

N'empêche, c'est dans ces moments là qu'on réalise combien la grossesse d'une actrice peut être problématique pour une série, surtout si c'est l'actrice en tête d'affiche. Mais bon, même si elle grossit, ils sont pas obligés d'intégrer ça à l'histoire... Ils ont qu'à dire qu'elle a forcé sur le chocolat

Beaucoup de séries se sont adaptées à la grossesse de leur actrice, c'est possible aujourd'hui de le faire ^^

Mais la meilleure solution serait de donner des vacances à Brennan et de faire venir une nouvelle anthropologue pour quelques épisodes. J'ai déjà mon idée quant à l'actrice qui pourrait tenir ce rôle , une guest de premier choix.

1. Real-life pregnant Emily Deschanel playing fictional pregnant Temperance Brennan. We can safely expect this one. Kudos to show runner Hart Hanson, the production company and Deschanel for incorporating the pregnancy into the storyline rather than stashing Brennan behind autopsy tables or sending the character away for the duration.

2. Some actual romance between Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz). We’ve had six seasons of will the/won’t they/can they/can’t they. Obviously, they would, could and did, so let’s just see them enjoying each other’s company while solving crimes. They don’t need to behave out of character and drool all over each other, but they can stop agonizing or protesting about their relationship now. Honest, having them be entirely comfortable with each other won’t hurt the show.

3. Psychotherapist Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) being hauled up on ethics charges. In real life, any psychiatrist/psychologist who socialized with his patients, let alone manipulated them experimentally (as Sweets did by failing to tell Brennan that Booth was alive at a crucial juncture) or wrote a book about his theories of their relationship, using their real names while they were still patients, would lose his license.

4. Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) dad, the rock star played by ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, giving a musical performance. Gibbons has been recurring on BONES for years now, he really is a rock star, might as well take advantage of the fact.

5. The return of Eric Millegan as Zack Addy. Poor Zack got written off the show and is currently residing in a mental hospital as the result of a crime he didn’t commit after a season-long crazed killer arc got rushed to a conclusion. The notion that Zack killed someone out of some faux-Nietzsche philosophy made no sense, and the later explanation that he didn’t really kill anyone but had sort of followed a lunatic leader made even less. Zack doesn’t have to come back full-time, but we like the guy, let him have a better resolution than this.

6. An answer as to whether the janitor played by Enrico Colantoni was real or a figment of Brennan’s troubled imagination. Nod once for figment, bring Colantoni back for another guest shot if real.

7. Let conspiracy theorist Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) finally uncover a real conspiracy that affects the Jeffersonian. He’s been primed for this since the show started – give him something big that affects the whole Jeffersonian to be absolutely right about.

8. Have lab boss Cam (Tamara Taylor) get out in the field in the thick of an investigation. She’s been supplying stalwart support all this time, let’s see her in the crime-solving limelight for once.

9. Allowing for the fact that such a thing might not make it past Broadcast Standards, it would be interesting to see a case that would actually gross out Bones and Hodgins. We have no clue what that would be, but it would be fascinating to find out.

10. No more crossovers with THE FINDER. Yes, that episode was a backdoor pilot for a new series by BONES exec producer/show runner Hart Hanson, but having our guys bring in strangers to do something they normally do themselves was bad enough. Hearing the back story between Booth and the Finder was even worse – if Booth stopped speaking to the guy over that being-pulled-away-from-his-infant-son incident back then, he’s had plenty of time to figure out all the angles by now. If forgiveness hasn’t been forthcoming so far, it seems unlikely now (or at least, it wasn’t sold to us properly). If BONES really wants to do a crossover with another Fox show, let Gregory House make a mistake that kills a patient with a rare bone disease, so Brennan can figure out what happened by examining the skeleton. House among the Bones – think of the possibilities!

Unfortunately, Bones wasn’t able to make it to Comic-Con last week, so we’ll have to make due with the producers sharing new season 7 spoilers instead of a fun Comic-Con panel. But all it not lost, because the Bones producers have been spilling a few details about the upcoming season and David Boreanaz is also tweeting a few photos from the set.

We've already covered spoilers about the baby, the new villain and the season 7 premiere episode (read more here) and now we're going to do a spoiler round-up about the new squintern and some upcoming relationship details.

New and Returning Squinterns

Vincent Nigel-Murray was the squintern who ended up being shot and killed by Broadsky towards the end of last season (what a sad, sad scene that turned out to be!), so now there will be a vacancy in the roster of Brennan's squinterns. The TV Addict says that the new squintern will be named Finn Abernathy and is an "an 18 year old not-so-Southern gentleman. Why not so Southern you ask? Well, put it this way, he managed to get his undergraduate degree while being confined to a juvenile detention facility." TV Guide says that he's a "young, redneck genius" and while Cam is happy to have him join the team, Caroline doesn't exactly take a liking to him. We'll meet this new intern in the second or third episode.

TV Line, meanwhile, reports that Carla Gallo will be returning as Daisy in season 7. Will she be back for Sweets? EP Stephen Nathan said "Daisy can’t live without her Lancelot."

Booth and Brennan

TV Guide spoke with Nathan, who said that Booth and Brennan will be somewhat of an unconventional couple when Bones return for season 7: "They are a couple who have come together to have and raise this baby. How Booth and Brennan are a couple remains to be seen, because they're not changing who they are. Booth is the marrying kind; Brennan doesn't want to get married. So these are issues that are going to come up again and again and will be an integral part of their relationship."

Unfortunately, Nathan won't tell us exactly when the baby will be born. We know that six episodes of Bones will air in the fall before the show goes on an extended hiatus for Emily Deschanel's maternity leave, but the producers want to keep us in suspense about the baby's birth for the time being.

As for some people who may be concerned that the show will change with Brennan and Angela both having babies, Nathan said "The show's not going to completely change what it is because there are children there. It's sort of like Everybody Loves Raymond. Raymond had kids, but you didn't see them all that much, but you knew they were a big presence in their lives."

Ultimately, Booth and Brennan's new relationship will not mean that either of them are going to change fundamentally, although they will have to learn to live together as a family in spite of their differences. "They've always loved each other. The audience has always known that. But they have to negotiate all of the complexities of living together. We will see them already in the middle of this relationship. We don't want to see them buying flowers and candlelit dinners. That's not what the show is, and it's not really what most people's lives are, either."

“We haven’t had any discussions yet,” Reilly said to the crowd at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “I think the producer would like to keep it going. We’d like to keep it going.”

The move to Thursday has also been a boon to the series’ success, which brought the strongest ratings in its six-season tenure on the network.

“We’ve been patty darn happy with the performance of ‘Bones’ on Thursday night,” Reilly continues, pointing at how it thrives while other procedurals have flagged. “That’s a really valuable show to us.” The mid-season introduction of pseudo-spin-off “The Finder” could also work in “Bones” favor. “We have nothing coming in that could replace it, other than I think, “Finder,’” Reilly says. “I can see those shows being compatible.”

After Reilly’s executive session, he spoke with reporters on stage, noting that Deschanel’s pregnancy has currently curbed the “Bones” Season 7 episode count to just 13, with “Finder” coming in at mid-season. He added that this could change if Deschanel is up for more after her maternity leave. They’re also curbing talk of “Bones’” long-term future until later in the year, perhaps after seeing the audience reaction to the typically shark-jumping storyline of the perennially “will they?/won’t they?” couple becoming parents.

As for Season 7, a sizable bit of casting news also came in before Reilly’s discussion. TVGuide reports “No Ordinary Family” and “Gossip Girl” actor Luke Kleintank landed a potentially recurring role as a new Jeffersonian squintern. Kleintank will play a genius named Finn Abernathy, who earned his college degree at only 16. He’s also something of a southern gentleman. Expect maybe a few more changes on the squintern front. After all, Season 6 saw the loss of one of the most familiar members of the team when Vincent Nigel-Murray (Ryan Carwright) was felled by sniper Jacob Broadsky (Arnold Vosloo). Excited for a new squintern — or do you think it might finally be time for the Jeffersonian crew to pick a Zack replacement and stay with it?

And, more importantly, what would become of the world if there were just 13 episodes left to “Bones?”

Season 7 of “Bones” premieres Thursday, Nov. 3, at 9:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
